Praise to the unconquered
Prints by Lana Korolievskaia
70 x 100 cm • Canvas, Digital, Collage
This collage combines oil paintings "Dance of butterflies around a flower" (2020) and ink graphics "Spanish dance" (2023). The intermittent triangular rhythm of the thin white lines creates the impression of a web, and the energetic, impetuous dance of the Spanish girl expresses how she is trying to free herself from the restrictions in which she is located. Flamenco is a reflection of the suffering and pain of the Spanish nation who endured the Reconquista - in motion. This collage is a dedication
to all those people who found themselves in difficult circumstances, but did not give up. The original background color scheme was modified to create a tense, dramatic atmosphere.
