Vladyslav Durniev
Artist from Ukraine
My name is Vladyslav Durniev, and I’m an artist from Ukraine. I work primarily with oil paints and a palette knife — a technique I love for its raw energy and honest expression. For me, painting is not just about depicting the world, but about feeling it — and sharing that feeling with the viewer. I’m inspired by color, light, and atmosphere. Sometimes it’s a rainy cityscape, sometimes a moment of stillness among flowers, or the shimmer of sunlight on water. I don’t aim for precision — I aim for life in the brushstrokes, for emotion, for the mood of the moment. I paint intuitively. Every texture, every color, carries my response to life, to memory, to movement. I’m not trying to impress — I simply speak in the language of paint. And if one of my works makes you pause, smile, or feel something — then we’ve already connected. Technique: All of my paintings are created by hand with oil paints, mostly using a palette knife on canvas or canvas board. I work in a textured, expressive style — often in one sitting — to preserve the spontaneous energy of the moment.

Blooming Silence
Painting by Vladyslav Durniev
50 x 50 cm • Palette knife, Oil on canvas
Location:
Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine
In this painting, I wanted to capture the quiet poetry of a pond covered with blooming water lilies. The soft pinks and vibrant greens create a feeling of peace and gentle movement, while the reflections on the water add depth and light. For me, this work is about the moments of harmony that nature gives us — when the world seems to pause and simply breathe.
