Artist from Ukraine
Artist from Ukraine. I live and work in Lviv, where I received an art education at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. My artistic pursuits include studio and monumental painting, mosaic panels and a passion for abstract art. I study art, especially 20th and 21st century art that expresses it through bold experimentation with color, form, content, and concept. A special place in my work is occupied by abstract art, in which I see a unique means of expressing inner states and sensitivity through unexpected combinations of color, shape and texture. Similar to music, where the demonstration of concrete real objectivity allows for the free expression of creativity and emotion, expressionism in abstract art provides an opportunity to convey inner state and emotions through colors, shapes and textures. Color and shape can evoke associations and convey mood, while texture adds depth and a sense of reality to a work of art, enhancing perception. Artistic abstract creativity allows each viewer to experience individual emotions and perceptions, as it is not limited by objective reality. Such sensitivity allows you to feel the depth and shades of expression in abstract art, opening up unlimited possibilities of perception and interpretation for each individual viewer.

"Emancipation of color"
Painting by Volodymyr Mamchur
95 x 75 cm • Canvas, Acrylic
Location:
Lviv, Ukraine
The theme of color emancipation in this painting is revealed through the use of bright colors and their active interaction. Colors not only blend together but also transcend traditional combinations, creating unexpected effects and shades. This may symbolize the liberation of color from standard constraints and its free expression, characteristic of emancipation. The painting embodies this theme through its brightness, energy, and expressiveness, which reflect the unrestrained movement and joy arising from a sense of freedom and liberation. The connection between color and linear texture further reinforces the theme of color emancipation in this painting. Linear texture can create movement and direction, interacting with vibrant colors to emphasize their energy and expressiveness. At the same time, lines may intersect and bypass each other, creating a sense of free movement and choice, similar to the emancipation of color expression from traditional norms. This symbiosis of color and linear texture adds depth and complexity to the image, highlighting the theme of liberation and freedom.
